About Mapochs Mine
Mapochs Mine is a world-class, high-grade Vanadium-bearing Titano-Magnetite (VTM) deposit located in Limpopo, South Africa. Renowned for its exceptional quality, the mine once supplied more than 10% of the world’s annual vanadium demand, solidifying its place as a strategic contributor to the global vanadium market.
Geographical Overview
The Mapochs Mine is positioned within the Limpopo province, in the northeastern region of South Africa. It is located approximately 240 kilometers from Johannesburg, 90 kilometers northeast of Middelburg, and 75 kilometers south of Steelpoort. The old Highveld steel and vanadium Corporation lies approximately 140 kilometers, with a highway distance of about 350 kilometers to Maputo, the capital city of Mozambique.
